Ronald Ray Buckner, 62, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at a local hospital. Ronald retired from Maytag after 39 years of service. He was an outdoors man who loved horses as well as motorcycles. Ronald loved his family greatly, especially his grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Avery Buckner Sr. and Patsy Ruth Walker Buckner; brother, Lewis “Avery” Buckner Jr.; sister, Barbara Ham.
Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 37 years, Rhonda Buckner; children, Jessica Chastain, Joe Buckner, and Amy Wiyono-Buckner; grandchildren, Jesse, Courtney, Tyler, Troy, Katie Jo, Allie, Jimmy, and Tristian; siblings, Debbie Weeks, Janie Jamerson, Sherleen Tucker, Tommy Buckner, Perry Buckner, and Terry Greene, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5-8pm at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel. The celebration of life service will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11am at Pinehill Church of God: 1484 Old Alabama Rd, McDonald, TN. The interment will follow the service at Conasauga Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
