Ronald Joe "Dude" Samples

Ronald Joe “Dude” Samples Sr, a lifelong resident of Bradley County passed away at Memorial Hospital on April 22, 2020 after a brief illness.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; J.C. “Jody” Samples and Melba P. Kirkpatrick Samples. He is survived by his wife; Gweneth Jean Johnson Samples; sons; Ronald “Joe” Samples Jr (Debbie Dye) and John F. Samples (Marran); grandchildren Amanda Crowe (Jason), Corey Samples (Ashley), U.S. Marine Sgt. Frank Nolan and JT Samples; and great-grandchildren; Emilee Perry, Jackson Crowe and Katelyn Samples.
He was retired from Magic Chef (Whirlpool) after a 36 year career in the Die Shop. He loved gardening, animals and being outdoors. He and his wife are members of the Lebanon Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a private graveside service is scheduled at Lebanon Baptist Church on Old Parksville Road in Cleveland.
Arrangements are being handled by Companion Funeral and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth fund of the Lebanon Baptist Church. A memorial service will be planned for later in the year at Lebanon.
