Roland Stephen Weatherford

Obituary
Roland Stephen Weatherford, 57, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at his home on Friday, January 6, 2012. Roland was a native of Roswell, Georgia, moving to Cleveland over 20 years ago. He was of the Church of God faith and was a member of the Hickory Flat Church of God of Hickory Flat, GA and attended the North Cleveland Church of God here in Cleveland. He worked many years in the restaurant industry as an owner of his own restaurant and was also a Volunteer Fireman for over 20 years while living in Roswell. He loved antique cars and enjoyed spending his spare time going to antique car shows. He was a very kind, loving and forgiving father who was generous and compassionate to all he came in contact with, be it human or pet. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Cora Walker Weatherford .
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Louie Weatherford, Sr. of Roswell Georgia, son Aaron Weatherford and his wife Sarah of Cleveland, daughter Makenzie Weatherford of Cleveland, brother Louie Weatherford Jr. of Roswell, Georgia. He is also survived by a host of extended family members.
A memorial service will be held for Roland in the Dixon Chapel of the North Cleveland Church of God, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 6:30 pm located at 335 11th St. Cleveland, TN 37311. The Reverend Cy Harris will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 prior to the service. There will be a second Home Going Celebration at the Hickory Flat Church of God, 947 Bailey Road, Hickory Flat, GA on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Brenda Haney will officiate along with Andy and Connie McDowell with music by Roland's cousins Jeff and Andy McDowell.  There will be a visitation with the family in the fellowship hall immediately after the service. We invite everyone to join us in honoring the memory of a dear father and friend.
