Obituary

Roland E. Carleton, currently of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Pittsford, VT, died on February 13, 2014 at his home. He was born in Windham, VT on January 14, 1931 to Frank and Lucy Holden Carleton. Most of his life was spent working as a tool & die maker. He loved his family, hunting fishing, car racing, snowmobiles, and rebuilding cars.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, wife June A. DeVoid Carleton, brothers Maurice E. Carleton, Rupert E. Carleton, John E. Carleton, Hollis E. Carleton; sisters Dorothy Carleton Davis, Vera Carleton Johnson, Shirley Carleton Fairbanks. Roland is survived by his wife Marjorie Baker Jankowski Carleton, sons, John W. Carleton (Patricia) and Jerry M. Carleton (Peggy), daughters Judy M. Grubb (Ronald) and Donna M. Carleton, sister Frances Carleton Dwire and grandchildren Melissa Grubb, Dawn Marie Hill, Nicole O’Laughlin, Amber Poirier, Kevin Carleton, Sean Snizek, Richard Snizek, and Jeffrey Carleton, and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
