Roger David Rutz

Roger David Rutz, 76, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 29, 1943 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Roger was a veteran of the Army National Guard after faithfully serving his country. He worked as a physical therapist for many years in the home health industry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur M. Rutz and his late wife Maria Cristina Rutz.

Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Betty Blankner Rutz, his sister Ruth Rath, his wife of 21 years Kathleen Rutz, four children Michael Rutz, Sandra Setzer, Ivette Margraves, Mario Rutz and three step-children Sherry Mangrum, Jerry Quizk, Christina Osborn, and all of their loving spouses. He also leaves behind 14 grand children, 4 great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A memorial mass is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church located at 900 Clingan Ridge Dr NW in Cleveland, TN with Father Mike Nolen officiating.

Interment will follow on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and will conclude with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Roger’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
