Obituary
Rodney Anthony Gillian, 46, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away early Saturday morning October 20th in a Chattanooga hospice after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Rodney was born on October 2, 1966 in Dalton GA a son of Tex and Betty Gillian. Rodney spent most of life in the Cohutta/Dalton areas but had moved to make Cleveland his home about 7 years ago. He worked locally for Dennis Norman Heating and Air Condition until his declining health forced his retirement. Rodney was of the Baptist faith and a devoted, loving and caring family man.
In addition to his parents Tex and Betty Gillian of Cuhutta, GA, Rodney leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 17 years Ann, one daughter April Nicole Gillian of Ringgold GA, one son Tex William Gillian II of Cleveland, one sister Varonica “Sally” Gribble (John) of Cohutta, GA, two brothers Michael Gillian (Lori) of Cleveland, Rickey James of Cohutta, GA, a special aunt and uncle Janice and Dennis Norman of Cleveland, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday night, October 22, 2012 in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to either the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga or the Craniofacial Foundation of Tennessee in Rodney’s memory.
