Rochelle Louise Caudill

Rochelle Louise Caudill, 66, of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 4, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare following a brief illness. Louise was born April 19, 1950 in Henderson, KY, a daughter of the late Roland and Lorene Shahan. She was adopted as a toddler and given a loving upbringing in the home of Clarence and Beulah Mae Powell, along with their other children: Kathleen Humphrey, Bobby Gail Powell, Barbara Ann Combs, Thomas Powell, Dewayne Powell and Dorothy Gail Powell—all of whom preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Rev. Claudie Caudill, of Cleveland, whom she married on Sept. 7, 1968; her beloved daughters: Rhonda Williamson of London, KY and Elizabeth Caudill of Pineville, KY; a granddaughter (the apple of her eye), Isabella Caudill of Pineville; brother, Francis Newman and wife, Mary, of Hazleton, IN; and sister, Phyllis Bailey and husband, Bill, of Owingsville, KY; special friends, Barbara Swanner-Evans of Harrogate, TN and Charlotte Garner of Cleveland; and a “daughter of the heart”, Rachel Scoville of Evarts, KY.

Throughout her life, Louise took on many roles including: Pastor’s Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Homemaker, and Licensed Beautician (often donating her services to visiting missionaries). Her heartfelt affection for children also led her to further embrace the roles of: Foster Parent, Foster Grandparent, Brownie Troop Leader and Head Start Teacher’s Aide, all of which enabled her to show God’s love to scores of little lives along the way.

In addition to the love she so freely shared, Louise was full of fun and always enjoyed joking and teasing with family and friends. Her laughter and smiles will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to share them.

A Life Celebration service will take place Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Kinser Church of God, 141 Kinser Rd. SE, Cleveland, TN, with Rev. Guinn Green and Rev. Jerry Herron, officiating. Family visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with public viewing from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Graveside services will be held at Grangertown Cemetery, Sturgis, KY, on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Mike Demoss as the officiating minister. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Companion Funeral Home & Crematory.
