Roberta Ramsey

Roberta Cate Ramsey, 87, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

She was preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Glen Ramsey, her parents, Hugh E. Cate, Sr. and Emma Wilson Cate, and son-in-law, David Landrith.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Landrith Oliver (Jack) of Brentwood; son, Larry Ramsey (Brenda) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Rachel Lorance (Rev. Stephen) of Winston Salem, North Carolina, the Rev. Samual Landrith (Katie) of Spring Hill, Joshua Landrith of Nashville, Will Ramsey (Katherine) of Mount Juliet, Jake Ramsey (Ali) of Cleveland and Cana Kirksey (Brett) of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Crosby, Reynolds, Graham, Reece, Ryder, Baker, Eloise, Adi Beth, Colter and Everett Glen; and sisters, Susan Tindal (Jim) of Cleveland and Elizabeth Lay of McMinnville; brother, Hugh Cate (Rickie) of Noblesville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Martha Mynatt of Knoxville; and brother-in-law, Wesley Ramsey of Cleveland.

Roberta's hobbies included cross-stitch, embroidery, writing poetry, short stories and cooking new recipes. She was a member of First Baptist Cleveland since 1962. She loved being involved in her children's activities at church and school. She worked with her husband, Glen, in real estate for many years and at the hotels they built.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM this Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Candies Creek Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to Roberta's great-granddaughter, Eloise Harper Ramsey, who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) and is undergoing treatment and surgeries, through GoFundMe at https://gofund.me/036990cf.
