Robert Wade

Robert Wade, 65, a resident of Madisonville, TN passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born in St. Louis, MO on December 13, 1957. He was the oldest of 7 children. He married his wife, and they resided in Michigan for 37 years then moved to Madisonville, TN. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Madisonville. Robert was a drywall hanger for around 40 years. He owned his business with his brother James until he fell ill in 2004. He loved to camp, fish, and eat! He was a loving and strong father and dedicated grandfather. A few good words to describe him are loyal, strong leader, servant, helper, and friend. He loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. He was faithful to his church.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Wade and Vera Janice Wade, Grandmother Perl Meyer and one grandson Michael Gabriel Wade.

Robert lived in Madisonville with his loving wife, Marie of 43 years as of October 3. They had 2 children, Bobby (Jody) Wade of Silsbee, TX, Anthony “Kevin” (Jessica) Wade of Sweetwater, Shanna Wade of Michigan, a loving bonus daughter. He had 5 sisters and 1 brother. He had 5 grandchildren: Bradley (Kendra) Wade of Texas, Anthony Wade of Michigan, Noah Wade of Texas, Seth Wade of Michigan, and Madison Wade of Texas, 2 great granddaughters of Texas.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street. A service celebrating his life will follow the visitation time on Wednesday at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Joel Orr officiating. Special music will be provided by Tina Wade.

The interment and committal service will follow in Hammonds Cemetery with Kevin Wade, Bradley Wade, Anthony Wade, Noah Wade, Seth Wade and James Wade serving as pallbearers.
