In Loving Memory of Robert Smith

Robert Smith, age 58, passed away on September 14, 2023, in Nashville, TN. He was born on July 28, 1965, in Atlanta, GA, to his loving parents, James Smith and Mary Smith. Robert's journey through life was marked by his passion for mechanics, his love for the great outdoors, and his unwavering commitment to helping others.

Robert's skilled hands and boundless enthusiasm found their true calling in working on engines, cars, and ATVs. He was a true craftsman, and his welding artistry with steel was a testament to his dedication and creativity. Robert found solace and joy spending time in his workshop, surrounded by the melodies of his favorite music, as he meticulously tinkered and created.

Among his many interests, Robert had a deep appreciation for fishing, finding serenity in the stillness of the water. He would often be found casting his line, patiently waiting for the next big catch. Yet, Robert's heart extended far beyond his hobbies; he had a genuine desire to assist those around him, always ready to lend a hand and offer his expertise.

One of Robert's simple pleasures was lounging in his hammock, a beloved companion by his side - his faithful dog, Sparky. Their tranquil moments together were a reflection of the unconditional love they shared, providing a source of comfort and companionship.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Kenya Patton, stepdaughter Kristi Bryan (Brian Allen), stepson Ryan Nolan (Heather), sister Kathy Folds, nephew Eddie Folds, and nephew Aaron Folds and Ray Smith Jr. He also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren who will cherish his memory: Dylan Hayes, Ashlynn Wright, Abigail Bryan, Olivia Nolan, and Hayden Nolan. Signicant Other Charlene Campbell and son Cliff Campbell.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Smith, and his father, James Smith, as well as his brother-in-law, Eddie Folds. His brothers Ray Smith Sr. and William Smith.

A private celebration of Robert's life will be held by the family at a later date, where they will gather to remember the man who touched their lives with his warmth, creativity, and unwavering love.

In our hearts, Robert will forever remain the dedicated mechanic, the passionate welder, the patient angler, and the kind-hearted helper. His legacy lives on through the memories he leaves behind, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
