Bro. Robert Reynolds moved to his new home on high Sunday May 5, 2019 at 1:00am. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country with dignity. He was a long time employee of the State of Michigan, McComb County, where he served as a Youth and Family Counselor. Bro. Robert has been an ordained Bishop with the Church of God since 1981.
He was born in the state of Mississippi on September 17, 1932. He is preceded in death by his former wife Gwen and son Marvin.
He leaves behind to mourn his cherished memory his beloved wife of fifteen years, Beverly Caldwell Reynolds, children: Debra and Denise, goddaughter Naomi (Jeff) Parker, step children Curtis (Charmaine) Bridgeman and Marianne (Jason) Taylor, three granddaughters, two grandsons, his loving granddaughter Atiza Carter, step grandchildren: four step grandsons and two step granddaughters; special care was given by his step granddaughter Brianna Bridgeman. He also leaves behind six sister in laws and five brother in laws with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:30am until 12:30pm on Thursday May 9, 2019 at Grace Community Church located at 4745 Mouse Creek Road, Cleveland, TN 37312. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30pm with interment to follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
The family of Bro. Robert Reynolds wishes to thank Pastor Kevin Mendel, members of Grace Community Church, Hospice Care of Chattanooga, the Doctors and Nurses of Tennova Hospital and Life Care of Cleveland, Companion Funeral Home for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank everyone for their many acts of kindness, phone calls, visits, food and prayers during our time of loss.
