Robert Paul Sheely

Robert (Bob) Paul Sheely, 75, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 12, 2022. He was born February 5, 1947 to the late Eugene Paul Sheely and Alice Cornette Sheely of Lowellville, Ohio.

Bob graduated from Lowellville High School where he was very active in sports. Following graduation in 1965, Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for 4 years. While serving his country he received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart Medal and Good Conduct Medal. While still in the Marine Corp, Bob married and had 2 sons Jonathan Sheely and Alan Sheely.

Following his military service, Bob had an adventurous side and enjoyed activities such as sky diving, motorcycle riding, scuba diving and skiing. In his later years, he enjoyed listening to music, watching church services on TV along with football and baseball. He was a devoted man of God and enjoyed helping others. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his Mother and Father, he is proceeded in death by his youngest son Alan Paul Sheely of McCaysville, GA, his younger brother James (Jim) Sheely of Glendale, AZ, Brother in Law Bill Johnston of Cleveland, TN.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son Jonathan (Kim) Sheely, grandchildren Ashleigh Sheely White and Matthew Sheely. One great grandson Brett White. Sister Alice (Jim) Ritchie, Brother John (Marta) Sheely and sister in law Debbie Sheely and numerous other family and friends.

Bob requested no memorial service but preferred to be remembered in life. Bob was the most giving person you would ever meet and was always giving to others. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to any charity of your choosing.
