Robert William McConnell

Robert William McConnell, 88, of Cleveland, TN entered into his heavenly home on January 21, 2024. Robert was born in Cleveland, OH and resided in Cleveland, TN for 41 years. His unwavering faith and walk with the Lord has blessed many lives.

He was a minister of the gospel for 66 years which included pastoring and pioneering churches and missionary work to 4 countries. He was very active, enjoyed the great outdoors, and writing songs and singing them as he played his guitar, but his greatest love was spreading the gospel of the Lord Jesus and teaching on the book of Revelation.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Revis and Kathleen "Hoyt" McConnell, his wife of 53 years Peggy O'neal McConnell and his second wife of 5 years Sandra McConnell, one sister Clara Chapman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers Philip McConnell (Elise), Bill McConnell (Marilyn), his sister Linda Lipscomb (Byron), his sons Nathan McConnell, Lance McConnell (Angela), Brett McConnell (Amanda), grandchildren Brooke Gregg (Cody), Natalie Garza (Ben), Seraiah McConnell, Colter McConnell, Judah McConnell (Tiffany), Kohen McConnell, O'neal McConnell, Ivan McConnell, 8 great grandchildren along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Robert's family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, January 28th with the celebration of life service to follow at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
