Obituary

Robert M. “Robbie” Price laid his head down and went to sleep at his home on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 only to awake in Heaven. Robbie worked for many years detailing cars for Jim and Jackie Chase and also Brian Liner until his retirement at age 62. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Robbie never met a stranger, enjoyed his Sunday School Class, sharing a joke with those around him and woodworking with his hands.

He is preceded in death by his sister Thelma Bledsoe, mother Hazel Longwith Price, grandmother Naomi Bledsoe , foster brother James Hoyle Shedden, brother-in-law Alvin Scroggins, mother-in-law Mary Belle “Granny” Scroggins and three half-brothers Donnie, Jackie and George Price.

Robbie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Nora Scroggins Price, daughter Hazel Price, son Todd Price and his wife Susan, two grandsons, Seth Rickman and Nathan Rickman and wife Lisa, great grandson Eric Rickman, special nephew Chris Scroggins and wife Suzzane, nephews Andy Scroggins (Dwanna) and David Brewer, two nieces Amy Swallows (Greg) and Cara Owenby (Adam), brothers-in-law Bill Scroggins and Larry Scroggins, two sisters-in-law Darlene O’Neal and Nancy Scroggins and a very special friend Jerry Huggins. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews Robbie Price (Lisa), Steve Price (Lesley), Ann Anderson (Tony), Lisa McClelland (Steve), Donnie Price, Tyler Price and Nicki Ledwell, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday night, July 22nd, 2014 at 7:30 PM at the East Cleveland Baptist Church located 1145 Arnold Street NE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Joe Lockman and Lloyd Eismeier officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday evening from 3:30 PM until the 7:30 PM service time.

The interment and burial will take place on Wednesday morning, July 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in Robbie’s memory to your personal church or the charity of your choice.
