Robert L. (Bob) Crane

November 1, 1931 — July 16, 2020

Robert (Bob) L. Crane age 88 a lifelong resident of Cleveland TN went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday evening July 16, 2020. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by wife of 63 years Doris Dean (Dooley) Crane, Sons Robert Louis (Bobby) Crane Jr. , John William (Johnny) Crane, Grandson Ervin Kyle Stokes Jr, Parents Arlie L. Crane and Ruby J. (Latimer) Crane, Brothers, Luther Crane, and Arlie Crane Jr, and Sister Peggy (Crane) Bullins.
He is survived by his sister Martha (Crane) Rogers of Bakewell TN along with his 4 children Daughters, Lynn and Ervin Stokes of Copeland FL, Margaret and Rick Hensley of Cleveland TN, Janet and Jim Ball of Mesa AZ, Son, David and Kelli Crane of Cleveland TN. He has 10 Grandchildren Christopher and Kathy Stokes of Copeland FL, Suzanne Stokes of Los Angeles CA, Jason Hensley of Cleveland TN, Marissa Hensley and Jay Cooke of Cleveland TN, Jennifer Caldwell of Cleveland TN, Emily Ball of Mesa AZ , Jared Ball of Mesa AZ, Kaitlyn Crane of Cleveland TN Madilyn Crane of Cleveland TN, and Skyler Bilyeu of Cleveland TN. He has 6 Great Grandchildren Dalton Stokes, Chase Stokes, Jada Stokes and Damien Stokes of Copeland FL, Jameson Cooke of Cleveland TN and Ayden Caldwell of Cleveland TN.
Bob was an entrepreneur for most of his life. He and his father had several business ranging from Real Estate along with owning a junk yard and wrecker service. Bob and Doris were the resident managers of the North Cleveland Towers for 21 years. After his retirement they enjoyed living in their home at 5319 Mouse Creek Rd in Cleveland TN. He was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God where he was the head usher for many years and enjoyed singing in the Crusader Choir. He was an active member of the Republican Party working the polls on election day and early voting.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Bradley County Nursing and Rehab for the wonderful care they have given our father during the last several months of his life.
Due to the Covid virus the family will have brief visitation on Monday July 20, 2020 from 11AM - 12:30PM at Companion Funeral Home 2415 Georgetown Rd. Cleveland TN 37311. There will be a graveside service immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mark Williams officiating.
