Robert Henry "Bob" Mccaughan

Robert (Bob) Henry McCaughan, 86 of Ten Mile, TN passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2023. Robert was born in Moss Point, Mississippi on December 7, 1936, with family eventually settling in Crossett, Arkansas. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Chemical Engineering spending a lifelong career in the Pulp and Paper Industry.

Robert never met a stranger and was always eager to share his “True Stories” to anyone that would lend him an ear. He found immense pleasure working on his “mini" Sewee Creek Farm and SEC Football pulling for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Alton G McCaughan, Edith Ruble McCaughan and younger brother, Fred McCaughan. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis Courson McCaughan, sisters, Betty Lynn McCaughan Malloy and Trudy McCaughan Jordan, children, Monty, Meredith and Paige. In addition, grandchildren Ashley, Madison, Spencer, Chas and Blake.

The family will warmly receive friends, family and well-wishers at Lakeside Baptist Church in Ten Mile, TN on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2pm with a Celebration of Life at to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Lakeside Baptist Church in honor of Robert.
