Robert (RB) Alloway, 78, passed away on November 13, 2023, in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was a loving husband to June, his cherished wife of 37 years. He was also a beloved father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend.
RB leaves behind a legacy woven with kindness, love, and a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of many. Born to Robert and Essie Mae Swafford Alloway in Birchwood TN, his life was a testament to his generosity and devotion to his family and community. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his stepson, Shane Hoskins.
In addition to being survived by his wife June, RB is also survived by his daughters Vicky Alloway and Christine Alloway, step-daughter Michelle Rymer (Mike), stepson Michael Hoskins, and grandchildren Dylan, Savannah (Trent), and Analise.
Throughout his 41 year career at Maytag, RB left a lasting impact on those around him. His passion for helping others shone brightly at the Community Chapel Church of God's food pantry, where he not only volunteered to transport food with his truck but also offered solace and spiritual guidance, leading many to place their faith in Jesus. RB's ingenuity knew no bounds, as witnessed in his workshop filled with machinery that he operated with skill and finesse. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether going to car shows, family gatherings or teaching his grandkids how to drive his tractor.
RB was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His loving and supportive presence in the lives of his family will be greatly missed. He loved his daughters dearly and was proud to be their father. RB Alloway's legacy is etched in the memories he created the love he shared, and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM with the celebration of life service to follow at 3:00PM. Following the service the interment will take place at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Cleveland, TN. Reverend Ron Lesley to officiate.
