Robby Michael Snyder, 74, a Cleveland native, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, January 24th.
Robby was born on September 29th, 1949, to Clyde Sullivan Snyder and Louise "Tommye" Coleman Snyder. He graduated from Bradley Central High School, where he was an avid athlete. After high school, he attended Cleveland State Community College. At the age of 19, he began his 40+ career at Bowater Southern Newsprint, where he earned his professional land surveyor license and worked his way to the position of Senior Mechanical Draftsman.
Robby married his high school sweetheart, Linda Lee Robinson, and was a devoted husband of 52 years. Together they have four children: Michael, Jonathan, Christopher, and Elizabeth. He was a loving son, brother, father, and Papa. Robby was an assistant Boy Scout Master to troop 44 and a proud father of his three sons, who all rose to the level of Eagle Scout.
Robby lived an uncomplicated, simple kind of life. He enjoyed the mountains and rivers, but his favorite place was home spending time with his family. His hobbies included woodworking, refinishing antique furniture, drawing house plans, and fishing. He is greatly missed, forever loved, and will be honored always.
Robby was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jeanne Underwood; and his niece, Meghan Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Linda Robinson Snyder; three sons, Michael (Carli), Jonathan (Hilary), and Christopher (Brooke); daughter, Elizabeth Snyder Stafford (Ralph); six grandchildren, Ada and Molly (Michael), Carrie and Emily (Jonathan), Zoie and Jabari (Christopher); two sisters, Rheta Beck (Tab) and Cathy Lowe; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends to honor the life and legacy of Robby on Wednesday, January 31st from 3:30 to 5:30pm at Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy, located at 4000 Keith Street NW in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating his life will follow the visitation time at 5:30pm, with Pastor Anthony Cain of Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy.
