Rita Cantrell

Rita Faye Cantrell, 74, of Oak Ridge, Tn passed away Friday, March 1 , 2024, at Oak Ridge Methodist Hospital. Rita was born, October 5, 1949, to the late Gladys and Como Franklin. She graduated from Livingston Academy in 1967.

On June 6, 1967, she married Harold C. Cantrell, and moved to South Bend, Indiana, where she had a career working for K-Mart as Shipping and Receiving Manager, for 30 + years. In 2002, Rita and her husband moved to Ringgold, Ga, and 2011 to Oak Ridge, Tn to be near their grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren immensely and doted on them.

Rita loved gardening, and always had beautiful flowers and landscaping in her yard. Rita was meticulous in everything she did. She was a planner and always followed through with her plan.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Cantrell, son, Mark Ethan Cantrell, and sister, Sue Copeland.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Garret Michael Cantrell and Emily Grace Cantrell, (Oak Ridge, Tn) sisters, Linda White, and Pat Copeland of Livingston, Tn.
