Ricky Lynn Brooks

Ricky Lynn Brooks, 64, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Thursday evening, July 1, 2021 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, TN on March 25, 1957 a son of the late Arthur & Ethel Brooks. Ricky was a talented wood crafter and an avid fisherman. He was of the Baptist faith and a former employee of Jackson Manufacturing.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one granddaughter Madison Nelson, son in law Christopher Fox and three sisters Patricia Voyles, Judy Gilbert and June “Nina Jo” Clark.
Ricky leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 41 years Teresa Barnes Brooks, one daughter Ethel “Lucy” Fox, two sons Ricky Brooks Jr. and David Barnes, one grandson Leland Nelson, one sister Virginia Massard (Jimmy) of Texas, one brother Joe Witt (Debbie), numerous nieces and nephews, many other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A service celebrating his life is planned for Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Tim Crowden officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time at the funeral home.
