Ricky Lee Tillman Gibson

Ricky Lee Tillman Gibson, 65, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away after an extended illness at home on Wednesday, January 5 with his wife and son by his side. He was born in Sevier County, Tennessee on April 4, 1956 to the late Roy Lee Gibson and Rita Mitchell. He served in the United States Army from 1974-1977. He was an employee at MayTag for many years. His greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren who were the light of his life.



In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Dotty Gibson and two sisters Ellie Stamm and Kathy Carver. He is survived by his wife, Jan Gibson of Fort Myers, Florida; daughter, Dawn Ballard of Cleveland, Tennessee; son, Jeff(Lucinda) Gibson of Carrollton, Georgia; grandchildren Leigha, Hayden, and Kellie Taylor of Chatsworth, Georgia; Allison, Maggi, and Rylee Gibson of Carrollton, Georgia; and Bethany Ballard of Cleveland, Tennessee; one sister, Robin(Kinnar) Andharia of Louisville, Tennessee; one brother, Ralph (Suzanne) Gibson of Sevierville, Tennessee along with beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles , and other family members.



His family will receive family and friends Sunday, January 16 from 11AM until 1:30 PM at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 1:30 in the chapel.
