Ricky Earl Asbell, 61, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga passed away on Saturday October 1, 2011 in a Chattanooga Health Care facility.
Ricky is the son of the late Arthur Henry Asbell and Gwen E. Robinson Owens. Ricky was an Army veteran and served his country from 1968 to 1971 as a combat engineer.
Ricky is survived by his wife Michelle Laskowski Asbell, two daughters, Wendy Michele Mills of Piedmont SC and Kristy Diantha Asbell of Dalton GA, one son J. Asbell of Florida. Three grandchildren J.C., Palmer, and Matthew Mills all of Piedmont, SC. He is also survived by one uncle Donnie Robinson of Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on October 5, 2011 at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN with the Rev. Don Taylor officiating. Mark Laskowski, Michael Laskowski, Matthew Meadows, Brian Buckanan, Bradley Clemons, Keith Clemons, and Amanda Dykes serving as pallbears.
