Obituary
Richard Terry Peters, 61, a resident of Chattanooga went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday November 15, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital.
Richard was born on December 28, 1949 in Chattanooga, but spent most of his childhood years in Rock Springs GA and graduated from Lafayette High School. He served in the U. S. Army as a Sgt. in the Vietnam War and was awarded a Bronze Star. He loved and lived his life for his children.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Reverend Clyde Augustus and Mary Ruth Peters of Peavine, GA, grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Earnest Peters of Ringgold, GA, and Arthur and Mettie Cox of Peavine, GA, a brother Billy Clyde Peters, and a nephew Joshua Elijah Dickey.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his four sons, Kirk Edward Peters , Zackery Paul Augustus Peters, Zane Preston Allen Peters, and Erik Peters all of Chattanooga. Brother Art L. (Gail) Peters of Rome GA, one sister Janet (Bill) Thompson of Ooltewah, TN, niece Shannon (Terry) Payton of Georgetown, TN and nephew Allen Peters of Rome, GA.
The family will hold a memorial service at Rock Springs Baptist Church at 6:00 PM on Friday November 18, 2011.
