Richard Jacobs

Richard Lewis Brooks Jacobs, born July 8, 1957, in Cleveland, TN, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2023, in his hometown, following a brief illness.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Cleveland where he attended and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1976. With a passion for his community, he made an essential contribution to the city as a skilled plumber and electrician for Crowe Electric and Wholesale Supply.

Richard was a man of deep family ties. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Raymond Jacobs Jr., and Charlotte Elaine Jacobs. His memory remains alive and cherished among his surviving brother Raymond Jacobs, sister Robin (John) Ownby, two nephews Chris (Lindsey) Ownby and Brian Ownby, a niece, Sarah (Josh) Mullis. Richard's spirit will also live on in the smiles and laughter of his great-nephews Isaac Ownby, Bentley Mullis, and great-nieces Hannah Ownby and Poppy Mullis.

A loving uncle, a reliable brother, and a trusted friend, Richard's life echoed with the values of hard work, familial love, and dedication to his profession. His legacy will long be remembered, and his presence deeply missed.

The family will be holding a private graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
