Richard Gene Boice

Richard Gene Boice, 83, of Ocoee, TN passed away on June 7, 2019. He was born on May 23, 1936. Richard moved to Ocoee a number of months ago to be with his daughter, Roxanne. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Richard was also a Boy Scout for more than 50 years in the Troop 341. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and has been inducted into the Boy Scout Hall of Fame.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Boice; parents William and Bernice Boice; son Royace G. Boice; and grandson John R. Boice.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Roxanne Martinolich (Robert); stepson Steve Merrill (Kim); siblings: Carolyn Crawford, Bonnie Brow, Linda Dunn (Tom), and Robert Taylor (Barb), John Taylor, Janet Taylor, Donna Taylor; grandchildren: Royace W. Boice, Brittany O’Daniel, and Sarah Knox; great grandchildren: Saige Smith, Kalub Boice, Cheyenne Boice, and Joselyn Boice. In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:00pm on Friday June 14, 2019 at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00pm. Interment will take place at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors at 1:30pm.
