Richard Forney

Richard H. "Dick" Forney fell asleep in Jesus April 11, 2024 at the age of 87. Dick will be remembered for his unwavering love of GOD and his passion for mountain biking. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He lived a life of service starting with 11 years in the United States Navy.

He provided for his family and learned many crafts over the years including running a gas station selling gas for $0.35 a gallon; cabinet building, and truck driving. His passion for preparing others to know Jesus Christ as their savior was his life's work long after changing careers as a colporteur.

He retired from Blue Mountain Academy Industry in Hamburg, Pennsylvania and spent his remaining years in Georgia

He was preceded by his parents, Raymond and Florence Foreny; daughter, Melissa (Dana) Wheat; sons, Philip (Christel) Forney, Paul (Sheila) Forney; 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery, Tennessee on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
