Obituary

Richard Epps, 79, a resident of Athens, TN passed away on Sunday April 6th, 2014 in an Athens health care facility. He was born in Knoxville, TN on February 7, 1935 and lived in Citrus County, FL for approximately 35 years until moving to Athens, TN for the past 5 plus years. Richard was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and BBQ for his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Epps and Annie Beck Epps, one daughter Glenda Rachelle Epps, three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Julie Lynn and Richard H. Tanksley, son Richard "Ricky" Author Epps, three grandchildren, Tayla Rachelle Epps, Anthony Kemper and Romey Allen Epps, one sister Pauline Barns of Loudon County, the mother of his three children Kaye Lunsford of Athens, TN and numerous other extended family members and friends.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
