Reverend Grady Donald Simpson

Rev. Grady Donald Simpson was the Pastor at Unity Church of God of Cleveland, Tennessee located on 3144 Fulbright Road. Rev. Grady passed away on Tuesday October 4th, 2016 at 11:30 am, at his home of natural causes. Pastor Grady Simpson lived a life of dedication to his savior Jesus Christ. In his relationship with Christ, as pastor, family member, and friend, he was eagerly responsible for leading numerous souls to Christ. Through those same relationships Grady, impacted countless lives through his preaching and teaching of God’s Word and with his sincere friendly spirit along with the unconditional love he displayed to everyone. Anyone who encountered him will agree that he was always smiling and ready to help others in whatever difficulty they may be going through. Grady knew and experienced the most important element in life which is having the hope and joy of living for Christ and helping others to do the same.
Rev. Grady Donald Simpson was married to Pearl Crumbley Simpson on April 30th, 1971 by Rev. T.L. Lowery. Grady and Pearl were parents of two children Raymond Donald Simpson (married to Gina Simpson) and the late Richard Dewayne Simpson.
Rev. Grady Donald Simpson was preceded in death by his beloved son Richard Dewayne Simpson. He was also preceded by his parents Rev. Yules and Mary E. Moore Simpson, two brothers William E. Simpson and Charles Simpson, three sisters Anita Faye Simpson Earwood, Carrie Lee Simpson and Ollie Simpson, grandparents William and Julie Simpson, Jake and Carrie Moore.
Rev. Grady Donald Simpson is survived by his wife, Pearl Crumbley Simpson of 46 years and son Raymond Donald Simpson. Grady has other survivors including three sisters Jearldine Rose, Emma Joe Hicks, Mary Frances Flowers, and one brother Douglas Simpson (wife Kathy), four grandchildren Javan Trey Simpson, Lydia Paige Simpson, Richard Dewayne Simpson II, and Jasmine Nicole Simpson; and many nephews, nieces, church family and countless friends that will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday October 8th, 2016 at 2 pm at the Unity Church of God, 3144 Fulbright road Cleveland, Tennessee 37312 with Tony Gilliam.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday October 6th and Friday October 7th from 6 to 9.
The graveside service will follow the funeral service on Saturday October 8th, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
