Rev. Paul Buckner

Reverend Paul Buckner, age 64, of Englewood, departed this life on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Turkey Creek. Born on January 5, 1957to the late Earl “Squirrely” Buckner and Stella Land Buckner, he was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and a longtime member of Stephensville Baptist Church. Brother Paul was called to preach in 2003 and was previously employed at Allied Hosiery and Crescent He loved spending time outdoors, fishing hunting, and spending time with his family , especially his granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Left behind to cherish Paul’s memory are his loving wife, Crystal Buckner; daughter, Kimberly Cates and fiance’ Chris Vogus; granddaughter, Starrla Vogus; sisters, Brenda Rayburn, Elizabeth Powers, and Margaret Casteel ; brother, Kenneth Buckner (Shirley); several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Reverend Paul Buckner will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Stephensville Baptist Church with Brother James Morgan officiating.
The family and friends will meet at the church cemetery on Wednesday at 11a.m for the committal service.
The family will receive friends from 5p.m. until the funeral hour at the church on Tuesday.
