Rev. Kenneth Scoggins, 77, Of Cleveland, TN went home to be with his Lord on December 22, 2022. He was born on January 22, 1945 to the late Raymond and Frances Scoggins. He was a lifelong minister and was extremely devoted to the ministry and serving God. He was a gifted musician and enjoyed playing music. Kenneth could often be found with a cup of coffee in his hand. He also loved going on cruises. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother and father he is preceded in death by his two sisters and brothers-in-law: Reba Robbins (Gary) and Debra Lynn Choate (Steve) and his first wife Mary Jane Scoggins.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Mary Ann Scoggins; sons Kenneth “Brian” Scoggins (Tammy) and Ray Scoggins (Sharon); daughters April Messer, Leslie Nance, and Jennifer Creel; sister Katherine Heffington (Gene); grandchildren: Logan Mikeal, Hagan Scoggins, Lydia Brock, Alexa Prince, Jena Johnson, and Katy Nance; great grandchildren: Madison, Haislee, and Tiller.
In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends.
Kenneth’s family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm on Monday December 26th at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1pm. Pastor Hugh Kilgore will be officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery. Logan Mikeal, David Heffington, Kevin Heffington, Gene Heffington, Hagan Scoggins, and Brad Robbins will serve as pallbearers.
