Rev. Boyd Clemmer Lawson

Rev. Boyd Clemmer Lawson, 87 of Cleveland went to his heavenly home on December 26, 2016.He served as a private in the United States Air Force, Service #26264637. Service Battery, 181st-FA Bn HQ 34THAir Division (Defense.) He graduated from the Church Of Christ College in 1966. He was the senior pastor and presiding Bishop of the Churches of Jesus Christ International, located at 800 Benton Pike in Cleveland TN.
He is proceeded in death by his father, who was the founder of The Church of Jesus Christ, Mark K. Lawson, mother, Leola Baker-Lawson, beloved wife of 64 years, Maria Ramona Rivera-Lawson, and daughter, Sheree Joyce Garrett.
Left to cherish his memory includes his son, James Calvin Lawson of Etowah TN, daughter Sondra Jane Lawson-Bennett of Cleveland.9 Grandchildren: Kevin Lawson, Tawny Sweeney- Campbell, Kara Lawson-Cocks, Mark Sweeney, Britnee Raper, Ashley Lawson-Kalus, Josh Bennett, Marissa Bennett, and Shae Bennett-Morgan.15 Great grandchildren: Kianna Yancey, Chase Lawson, Destiny Sweeney, Maya Yancey, Austin Sweeney, Haylee Lawson, Amber Lynn Campbell, Jaycee Sweeney, Rylee Gabaldon, Zoey Lawson, Aubree Diaz, Weland Morgan, Justyce Diaz, Beau Bennett, and Catalina Ferguson. One great- great grandson, Aiden Yancey. Several nieces, nephews, associate pastors and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday-Friday on January 4-6, 2017 from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ located at 800 Benton Pike NE in Cleveland, TN. The funeral will be held on Saturday January 7th at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ. Interment will follow the service at Union Grove Cemetery on Saturday, January 7, 2017.
