Randolph Keith "Randy" Gates

Randolph Keith “Randy” Gates, 51, a resident of Riceville, TN passed away on Monday night, November 20, 2017 at Starr Regional Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. Randy was of the Baptist faith and a member of East Niota Baptist Church. He was retired from the Cleveland City Police Department where he held the rank of Sargent. Randy loved the outdoors and being with his family.

Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory two sons Brian Gates and Benjamin Gates, two daughters Tiffany Gates and Mallori Gates, his father and mother Ralph Gates and Bobbie Gates, sister Hannah Davidson (Scott), grandchild Bently Gates, nieces and nephews Skyler Tilley, Savannah Davidson and Alexis Davidson, grandmother Geneva Gates, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Friday, November 24, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The interment and committal service is planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Niota Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM.
