Ralph Everett Blanton

Ralph Everett Blanton, born July 27, 1943 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 24, 2018. He was 74.
Ralph is preceded in death by his father Everett Orville Blanton, mother Dorothy Boles, and sister Mary Tilley.
He is survived by his brothers Larry Steel of East Ridge, Johnny Steele of Chickamauga and Sister Janice Durnberger of Lebanon, TN. His children, Tangi and Brian Ballard of Ringgold, Misty Booth and Rob Jackson of Ringgold, Jackie Blanton of Lafayette.
He has three grandchildren Gage Booth, Galan Ballard, Casey Ballard all from Ringgold. Two Great-Grandchildren, Evie Booth and Beau Moran.
Other survivors include Kenny Jones of Dunlap and Nathan Jones of East Ridge; several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was well known in East Ridge, Chattanooga and North Georgia area for his kindness and generosity. He was an electrician by trade He was a member of East Ridge United Methodist Church where he loved everyone, especially the children. He always made sure that no one was hungry or thirsty. Ralph made sure no one went without. The wonderful memories we have of Ralph- Mega Star, Dirt Track every weekend to Boyd’s Speedway and Cleveland, where he also had many friends. His grandchildren recall him taking them fishing and just going on drives to nowhere.
We would like to thank Standifer Place and the Staff on East 2 for caring and loving Ralph. It really meant a lot to us. He will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on April 14, 2pm at East Ridge United Methodist Church, 1601 Prater Road, East Ridge, TN.
