Ralph E. "Buddy" Borden Sr.

Ralph E. Borden Sr. (Buddy Brock), 81, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Bradley Healthcare. He played basketball for Templeton Hill School where he was known by many as “Buddy Brock”. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. Buddy loved his family, bingo and watching TN Volunteer Football.

He is preceded in death by his mother Grace Campbell Prince, wife Carolyn Borden, great grandson Christopher Adam Cantrell Jr., two sisters and four brothers.

Buddy leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Ralph “Buddy” E. Borden Jr. and wife Deanna, daughter Deanne Michelle Hipps and husband Gary, four granddaughters Haley McDowell, Alexis Hipps, Karmyn Borden and Kay Ramsey (Drew), four great granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, two great great grandbabies on the way.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday evening, June 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend John Cain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time. The service will conclude with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Antioch Baptist Church in his memory. Those can be sent to Antioch Baptist Church P. O. Box 684, Benton, TN 37307 in care of Children’s Groups.
