Obituary
 R.L. McKenzie, 75, of Decatur, TN passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, after battle with Leukemia.  R.L. was born September 26, 1937, in Big springs TN, to the late Ruben L. McKenzie and Myrtle Thompson McKenzie Randolph. He graduated from Meigs County High School in 1957 and McKenzie Business College in 1960 with a degree in Accounting. He had worked for the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation. He also served as Sheriff of Meigs County from 1982 to 1990. He was a member of Decatur Lions Club and the Decatur Jaycees. He was a past chairman for the Meigs County Democratic Party. R.L. was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Decatur. He enjoyed his time traveling.
He is survived by his wife Jane Suits McKenzie of Decatur. His children and spouses, Ruben “Mike “and Michele McKenzie, Tony McKenzie and the mother of his son Michelle, Chris and Bridget McKenzie, and Jennifer McKenzie all of Decatur. Grandchildren, Logan McKenzie, Bryce McKenzie, Tanner McKenzie, and Emma Womac. Brothers and sister-n-laws Billy G and Johnnie McKenzie of Decatur, George Madison and Shelby McKenzie of Harrison, Jerry M and Jeania McKenzie of Decatur, and one sister and brother-n-law Mary Lou and Benny Deloach of Decatur. Sister-n-law and brother-n-law, Ann and Ned Johnson of Cleveland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous beloved family and friends.
There will be no formal visitation. A private family service will be held.
