She was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School class of 1965 in Reading, MA. She continued her education at University of Maine, Orono, Maine and received a BA in the studies of History, English, and Education in 1970. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth Jane McBride, who took care of her for her final years; and her cherished grandchildren, Jada Taylor and Devin McBride, all of Cleveland, TN. Her sister Chaplain Nancy L. Garrison and her husband, Wesley Garrison of York, Maine and Cleveland, TN. Her nieces Becky Jean White and her husband Eric; Amy Laura McCullough and her husband Larry all of Cleveland, TN; and also her great nieces. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends espcially, Janice Ralston of Martha's Vineyard, MA and Dr. Shirley Wilson of Rochester, NH, for her comassion, generosity, quick wit, and a beautiful smile.

A memorial service and internment will be held at First Parish Cemetary in York, Maine at a later date.
