Phyllis Varnell

Phyllis Marie Varnell, age 88, received her wings on May 24, 2024. She was blessed to be able to spend her days at home surrounded by her family. She passed away peacefully, with a smile on her face, in her own bed.

It is so fitting that she left us with the smile that so many remember. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Varnell. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Powers; son-in-law, Clyde Powers; grand-daughter, Rachel Lockhart and husband Curtis; great granddaughters, Bailey and Chloe Lockhart; and 4-legged grand pup, Lucy, along with a host of friends and caregivers.

She left this world just as she had lived in it, with grace and love, and on her own terms. While we will miss her greatly, we take great pride in knowing that she is resting in the arms of her savior now and able to do all of the things that she once enjoyed as she waits for the day that we will join her in heaven.

A graveside memorial will be held on Wednesday May 29th at 12:00 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.
