She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to her loving parents, Philip Burgess and Verna Mae Campbell. Phyllis later married the love of her life, William Rogers, in Rossville, Georgia, where they embarked on a life filled with shared dreams and cherished memories.

Phyllis is now reunited in eternal peace with her father, Philip Burgess, and her mother, Verna Mae Campbell, who have gone before her to prepare a place in Heaven. While she will be deeply missed, her family takes solace in knowing she is surrounded by the warmth of their embrace once more.

Phyllis's loving spirit lives on through her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, William Rogers of Rossville, as well as her daughters Rachel Kimball, Jacqueline Rogers, Iva Mitchell and her son, Philip Kozlove. The legacy of her love continues through the spouses of her daughters husbands and her son's wife, Todd Kimball, Will J. Rogers, Sam Mitchell, and Meggie Kozlove. Phyllis embraced her role as a mother with an open heart and a welcoming smile, which her family held dear. This included Tammy and John Olmeda and Marie and Moses Bonner.

Her love extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were truly the apple of her eye. Phyllis's faith was an essential part of her life, and she attended Lakeview Wesleyan Church when she was able, where she found spiritual solace and a welcoming community. In her honor, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakeview Wesleyan Church, located at 13 S. Center Street, Rossville, Georgia 30741. Family and friends will come together to celebrate her life and remember the love, grace, and compassion she shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Phyllis Rogers touched the lives of everyone she met with her unwavering Christian love and her radiant smile. Her legacy of faith and family will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind. As we bid her farewell, we find solace in the belief that she is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, where she will experience the eternal peace and joy she so deeply deserves.
