Phillip Ray Ledlow, age 65, Whitwell, Tennessee, went to be with his family in Heaven on September 9, 2024. He was born on December 22, 1958 in Sheffield, Alabama and grew up in Nitrate City.
A Memorial will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Nitrate City VFD; family to gather at 1:30pm welcoming friends at 2:30pm.
Phillip was preceded in death by his loving mother Barbara Ledlow Herring; stepfather William Herring; special Aunt and Uncle Georgia and Dan Ledlow; father Roman Ledlow; grandfather Lonnie Ledlow, along with many other Aunts that he loved.
He leaves behind two sons, Phillip "Jr" Basham (Jd); Jody Ledlow (Ashley); five grandchildren, Romin, Loid, Oatez, Ely, and Lonnie; one sister, Melinda Clayton (DD); the mother of his children, Peggy Staggs; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Phillip had several types of jobs however the majority of his life was spent in woodworking building furniture from scratch, he could build anything. He loved cars and spent his free time either working on them, admiring them, or helping someone work on theirs. He was an avid Paul "Bear" Bryant fan making the Alabama Crimson Tide his favorite football team.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations to be accepted at his Memorial Service to go toward his final expenses
