Peter Galarneau

Peter James Galarneau, 70, of Cleveland, Tennessee was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 1, 2023 after a short illness. Formerly of Gloversville and Lockport, New York, Peter was born to Francis J Galarneau and Barbara E Galarneau (Gifford) of Lockport NY on March 30, 1953. He was predeceased by both his parents and his brother John Galarneau.

 

He was married to his wife, Lynn E Galarneau (Cretser) for 43 years and had two children. One girl Aimee Hinderliter (Galarneau) and husband Michael. Grandchildren, Lucas and wife Angel, Logan and Lillian, two great grandchildren Aidan and Bonnie. One son, Scott Galarneau and wife Caribeth. Grandchildren Opal Lynn and Charles William. Other family members are surviving sister, Jane Dupont with late husband Oliver. Niece Barbara McGaffin with sons, Samuel and Zachary. Nephew (son of John) Andrew Galarneau and wife Emily with son Oliver.

 

Peter worked as a property tax assessor for multiple towns in Fulton County New York as well others in surrounding counties. He retired as the Director of real property tax service of Fulton County in 2019, then moved to Cleveland, Tennessee.

 

His celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 4 at Waterville Baptist Church 4555 Dalton Pike SE Cleveland, TN 37323. The receiving line starting 10:00 Am followed by service at 10:30 Am. The service will be conducted by Pastor Rodney Bice of Waterville Baptist Church. There will be an additional celebration of life service at Valley Alliance Church in Nelliston, New York at a later date.
