Peggy R. Phillips Dill, 79, passed away at home after a lengthy illness due to diabetes and cancer. She was a resident of Cleveland since 1961, formerly from Hixson Middle Valley Area. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked in several factories in Cleveland, Mallory Battery, J.H. Kelleman, Mayes Manufacturing before retiring at 55. She was a member of the VFW Auxilary 2598 and American Legion Auxilary Unit 81.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Oral Layne Phillips, husband Robert (Shane) Dill, children’s father Charles E. Visage; brother Roy Leon Phillips, two nephews Chris Phillips and Eddie Vinson; friend and companion James D. Haist.
She is survived by three sons Harold D. Visage of Cleveland, Charles Michael Visage also of Cleveland, Randy A (Lana) Visage of Lafayette GA; two sisters Betty (Wayne) Vinson of Lookout Valley, Carolyn Smith of Hixson; one brother Bobby F. Phillips of Athens, GA; four grandchildren, Nicole (Kolby) Duckett of Cleveland, Jessica Visage of Rome, GA, Cody Allen Visage of Cleveland, Ryan (Krystina) Visage of Davis, FL; two step granddaughters Marla York of Lafayette, GA and Tasha (Randy) Burkitt of Roanoke, VA; one sister in law Rita Phillips of Jacksonville, FL; 8 great grandchildren, Dakota, Canyon, Oakley, R.J., Adrian, Abbey, ; two daughters by choice and friendships Darlene Robertson and Cheryl (Eddy) Fairbanks.
At her request there will be no service and no visitation. Interment will be held at Dill Cemetery on Monday April 1, 2019 at 11:00am.
