Peggy Long

Peggy Long, 75, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 in Tennova Hospital. Peggy loved animals and tending to her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Russell Saunders as well as her sister Deloris Haney and brothers Steven and Dwight Saunders.

She is survived by four children: Becky Waters and son-in law Bradley Waters of Chesapeake, VA; Bert Hicks of Chesapeake VA, Steven Creek and daughter-in-law Shelley Creek of Cleveland and Jason Creek of Florida; thirteen grandchildren: Corey Creek, Aidan Bonifas, Elisha Hicks, Elijah Hicks, Coyer Brown, Justin Causseaux, Tanner Greeson, Camryn Creek, Trendyn Creek, Alexis Creek, M'Lynn Creek, Christopher Creek, Charlie Creek, and Serenity Creek, and four great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held in the spring by the family in Peggy's hometown of Tellico Plains, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the Cleveland Dixie Day in memory of Peggy Long.
