Pavel G. Novak was born on 8/19/1934 (but by birth certificate 10/10/1934) in Ukraine. Grigoriy and Anna, parents of Pavel, had five children and Pavel was the third child.

When Pavel was 14, his father passed away. In 1950, Pavel graduated from trade school with a specialization in blacksmithing. In 1954, he became a Christian and was baptized. Soon after that he went to serve in the Soviet Army.

In 1957 Pavel married Polina Bagatuk. The Lord blessed them with 12 children: five sons and seven daughters. For ten years, Pavel was a bus driver, and for the rest of his career, he was a truck driver. After his retirement in 1995, he enjoyed beekeeping, vineyard and orchards. In December 1997, Pavel, his wife Polina, and two daughters immigrated to Cleveland, Tennessee, USA. In 2000, his wife passed away - they have lived together for 43 years. Soon, Pavel married Vera Babchanik, and they have lived together for 24 years.

Pavel strived to pass his Christian beliefs to his children, grandchildren, and those around him. His door was always open to guests.

Pavel lived until he was 90 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 12, 2024. Pavel is survived by his 12 children, 49 grandchildren, and 75 great-grandchildren. Pavel's last desire was that his big family would all be reunited in heaven.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Cleveland Church of Evangelical Faith, with a viewing from 10:30-11:00 am, with funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Ft. Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
