Patsy Griffin

January 14, 1936 — February 22, 2025

Patsy Kelley Griffin passed away February 22nd at the VA Veterans Home in Cleveland. She was born January 14, 1936 in Jacksonville, FL to Henry Louis "Jack" and Pauline "Polly" Permenter Kelley. She grew up in Decatur, GA where she met her husband of 50 years, A. Max Griffin. She spent most of her married life on Max's family farm near Cleveland and enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and her family. Patsy retired from the US Forest Service, Cherokee National Forest, Cleveland office where she was a purchasing agent and was responsible for much of the purchasing for the Whitewater Center and Whitewater Venue for the 1996 Olympics on the Ocoee River. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three siblings, Henry Louis "Jack" Kelley, Jr, Polly Kelley Dahm, and Gordon Bond Kelley. She is survived by three sons, Jay (Debbie) of Clarkesville, GA, Mark of Cleveland, and Ken (Tracy) of Knoxville, grandchildren, John (Michelle), Austin (Helen), Caty, Molly and Jack and great grandchildren, Nicole and Max.

No service is planned at this time. The body will be cremated and ashes spread on the family farm at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association on her behalf would be appreciated.
