Patricia Marie Seaborn Hope, 94, a resident of Cleveland, went to her heavenly home on June 28, 2021. She had lived all her life in Cleveland and was a descendant of Bradley County Pioneer Families, Gussie Jane Still and James David Seaborn. She graduated from Bradley High School and attended Bob Jones College in Cleveland. She was a member of Broad Street Methodist Church for 39 years and later joined Bellfounte Baptist Church. She worked with the young people and taught Sunday School until her health failed. She was Girl Scout leader for 20 years and worked with her husband in the family business, Hope Auction and Realty Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Hope, Sr.; her parents, Irene Kerr Seaborn and Raymond Osment Seaborn; daughter, Linda Kay Hope Johnson; paternal grandparents, Gussie Jane Still Seaborn and James David Seaborn; maternal grandparents, Emma Iola Hardin Kerr and Everett Edward Kerr; and her sister, Emma Jane Seaborn.
She is survived by her daughter, Kittie Ray Hope Brock; son, John Brady Hope, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristina Hope Brock Morgan and John David Lee Bacastow; great grandchildren, Morgan Magnolia “Maggie” Norris, Melanie Marie Norris, Emilee Renee Bacastow, Olivia Mae Bacastow, and Gabriel Xavier Bacastow; and great great grandson, Ashton Morgan Berry.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Jamie, Rita, and Bobby at At Home Primary Care.
There will be a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at 11am on Thursday, July 1, with Rev Lake Walker.
