Patricia "Patti" Mclaughlin Whitson

Patricia “Patti” McLaughlin Whitson, 76, of Collegedale, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 22nd at the Lantern at Morning Pointe. She was born April 11, 1944 in New Jersey to James McLaughlin and Mary Medve McLaughlin. She was a very caring mother, grandmother and LPN nurse who will be greatly missed and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church. She is survived by her three children, Michael Lee Whitson (Maureen), Shelley Whitson Stern (Rick), and Brian Lee Whitson (Darian); three grandchildren, Isabella, Bradley and Adam Stern, and her dear brother Jim McLaughlin. Ms. Whitson was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary McLaughlin. Visitation will be held at 1PM and the service at 2PM on December 30 at the Collegedale Community Seventh-day Adventist Church in Collegedale, TN with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Humane Society.
