Obituary
Norma D. Parker, 90, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at a local hospital. Mrs. Parker was a native of Cambridge, MD and was a daughter of the late Everett and Vera Davidson. She is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Parker, brothers Eldridge Davidson and Delmas Davidson, and a sister Mildred Elzey. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Church of God and had served as Choir Director at the Cambridge Church of God for over 20 years. She was also the music coordinator for the Delmarva-DC State Camp Meetings, and sang in a trio for many years with her late husband and Vep Ellis. She also attended Lee University.
Survivors include her son, Duane Parker of Cleveland, a grandson, Garrett Parker also of Cleveland, and numerous other extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday August 17, 2012 at the First Baptist Church located at 1275 Stuart Rd. Cleveland, TN with the Rev. Perry Stone and Rev. Steve Morgan officiating. A committal service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Garrett Parker, David McClain, Dan Fields, David Culpepper, David Fields, and Paul Parker will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church on Friday prior to the service.
