Nellie Shrader

February 25, 1952 — April 15, 2024

Nell Shrader age 72 gained her wings and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15,2024 in Cleveland

TN. born in Lawrence County Alabama on February 25, 1952 to John Henry (J.H.) and Ethel Campbell. She

considered Lawrenceburg, TN. her home and also felt strongly connected to her roots in Lawrence County

Alabama where she attended Speake High School and Lebanon Church of God in Speake for many years.

Nell was a devout Christian and spent a lot of time praying. She prayed for everyone , even people on TV.

She didn't have to know them or their story she just knew they needed prayer and she prayed.

Her favorite past time was going to yard sales, and she also loved having them. Everyone in Lawrenceburg

watched for her yardsale announcements because they knew it would be a good one . She spent countless hours

having benefit yardsales for anyone needing financial help in the community. Some of her greatest times was

loading the grandaughters up in her Red Cadillac and heading out to yardales before daylight on Friday and

Saturday mornings. She was convinced that Caddy had 4 wheel drive because she would drive right through the

yards to get to the sale and if she saw something she wanted from the car you better get out of the way , she

was going after it. It was nothing unusual for her to buy

out complete yardsales and store the stuff until time for her to put on one of her famous "Nell Sales".

Nell along with her late husband Bobby H. Crouch founded the Gospel singing group the "Heaven Seekers"

Together they traveled miles and miles singing the Gospel and spreading the word of Jesus . Any given

weekend night you could find them on a parking lot somewhere singing the praises . She was happiest when

she was doing God's work.

In her younger years she was known as "Momma Nell" to most any kid within a 10 mile radius of her home and she

was always right in the middle of the action. She always made sure everyone had plenty to eat and had a good

time. She never missed a ballgame, a fieldtrip, or anything that involved her family.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband Charles Deward Shrader. She was also preceded in death by her

parents J.H. and Ethel Campbell , brothers Bill,Bobby ( Richard),James (Bud), Joe, Berry and Jerry Campbell.

She is survived One Daughter Amy Schrader of Cleveland TN. Two Grandaughters Ashley Winsett of

Lawrenceburg. Kayla Edwards (Anthony) of Blountville TN. 3 Great Grandchildren Brian and Faith Edwards and

Noah Winsett. and one sister, Gladys Kidd of Town Creek, AL.

Services for Nell Shrader will be on May 4th,2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Lebanon Church of God in Speake Alabama with

Brother Pinky Tyler and Ronnie Kelsoe officiating.
