Nellie Odell Couch

Reverend Nellie O. Couch, 68, a longtime resident of Cleveland, Tennessee went to her Heavenly home on Friday night, August 12th, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Gadsden, AL on April 24th, 1948 a daughter of the later Terry & Beatrice Collier. She was known for her loved to minister and share the gospel to other both in spoken word and song.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son Steven Wayne Couch, two brothers Charles Wallace Collier and Terry Eugene Collier and one sister Clara Beatrice Truelove.
Nellie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty nine years Thomas Couch, two sons Terry William Couch and wife Tammy and Timothy Michael Couch, three grandchildren Nina Couch, Shawn Michael Vandergriff (Candice) and Zack Couch, one great grandson Jayden Michael Vandergriff, two sisters Gracie Gilbert (Ralph) of Dalton, GA and Hazel Couch, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Buck Beaver and the Reverend Terry Couch officiating. Interment will follow in the Earls cemetery with Zack Couch, Shawn Vandergriff, Donald Gilbert, Jessie Collier, Brandon Couch and Andrew Beavers serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 15th, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the 1:00 PM service on Tuesday in the funeral home parlor.
