Neil Lee. Mccallie Sr.

Obituary
 Neil Lee McCallie, Sr., 69, a resident of Birchwood, TN went home to be with his Lord on August 7, 2012. He was retired from McKee Baking Company. He also drove for Hamilton County Schools for 11 years and was a positive influence and was loved by all the children whom he came in contact with during this period of time. Many continued to stay in contact with him after they no longer rode his bus. He believed in helping others and over the years had donated over 3 gallons of blood to Blood Assurance. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and attended Birchwood Church of God.
Neil is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mamie McCallie and two nephews Randy McKinney and Stanley Prueitt.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; son and daughter-in-law, Neil Jr. and Alison McCallie; cherished granddaughter, Claire McCallie, Sisters, Betty (Bill) Prueitt, Tommye Roark and Alice (Roy) Glenn. Neil also had a very large extended family who will remember him for his kindness and sense of humor. He especially enjoyed spending time with his dear friends, Randy and Shirley Lawson.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Birchwood Church of God located at 5602 Bunker Hill Road, Birchwood, TN 37308 with the Reverend Steve Miller and the Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in the McInturff Cemetery with Mickey Kaylor, Jason Kelly, Justin Kelly, Buddy Suttles, Charlie Lawson, and Dickie Collins serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday night August 9, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church and also one hour prior to the service time on Friday.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in Neil’s memory.
